April 13: Ragamala Spring Morning Concert. Shashwati Mandal on the Baha’i main stage. Gwalior style Khayal and Tappas. We may also persuade her to teach a master class in Tappa, if you’re interested in this quaint old Punjabi folkloric style of singing.
June 2: ‘Chhote Gandharv’ – Kids in Classical Music. Seattle’s promising youngsters studying Hindustani Music will perform and receive feedback from our visiting artists (and applause from us!). This will be followed by a Classical and Bhajan/Abhang concert by Bharat Ratna Pt. Bhimsen Joshi’s son and grandson duo Shrinivas and Viraj Joshi, accompanied by Avinash Dighe (Harmonium) and Prashant Pandav (Tabla)
